| Man Takes Wrong Turn,
Ends Up In Wrong Country STOCKHOLM - An 87-year-old Swedish man who went for a drive to buy some flowers in the west coast city of Gothenburg took a wrong turn onto a motorway and ended up in Norway -- 155 miles away. Police in Oslo, Norway's capital, helped put the man back on the right road after his three hour drive but notified Swedish police to express concerns about his driving, Swedish media said Friday. But their warnings were not needed. The wayward driver, still with no flowers, was on his way back to Sweden when police pulled him over for driving recklessly on the motorway. Police decided to give the confused man a lift back to his home in the Gothenburg suburb of Orgryte and confiscated his driving license. ``This was both for his own and
other's safety,'' police spokesman Jan-Ake Collin stated. |
