Titanic trio Sues Weight Watchers for Incompetence

Birmingham  - June Harper and her two sisters weigh a total of 735 pounds. For health reasons, they joined Weight Watches, and enrolled in their special high-priced exersize program. When they failed to reach their weight loss goals, they took Weight Watchers to court, with a lawsuit totaling close to 10 million dollars.

The Harper sisters claim that they were not told about the hardships the dietary program would have, and that they were not advised that there was no warranty as to the success of the program. Says June - "I though we would get injections or pills or something like that...The bums wanted me to stop eating...". Her two sisters agreed - They were shocked to learn that dieting means "absolutely no snacks ".

Their lawyer admits he has a difficult road ahead. The lawyer for Weight Watchers is more confident. He reports how the manager of Weight Watchers constantly had to have the Harper sisters frisked due to the fact that they often concealed food like Mars Bars, chips, and other goodies in their underclothes. They even went so far as to sell the merchandise to other members of the group. Once they caught Sally Harper hiding in a closet, munching on a 30 pound roasted baby pig. " We have no idea how the hell she smuggled that in..." says Bill Potford, assistant manager of the club.

Sally Harper admits that the odd chocolate bar may have exchanged hands, but explains that " I couldn't stand to see a grown woman cry, so I sold her the candy bar ". However, Weight Watchers says that the Harper sisters had tried to cash in, selling candy bars at 20 dollars a piece.
