World's Hopscotch Championships - Disaster

London -  The World Hopscotch Championships, held each year in London, turned out to be nothing but a big disaster said WHA's (World Hopscotch Association) president Arthur MacCleavor. "It started out all's well and turned into a complete nightmare."

The day started off grand as the world's best hopscotchers started competing around high noon and throughout the day bringing some of the best hopscotching since the early 1900's. "I've never seen as good as hopscotching ever before in my life." said world renown hopscotch champion Harvard Willis.

"Everything was going great until last year's champion Allan Ark starting yelling at this year's new champ Doug Jensen." said an anonymous fan. "First shout came to yell, yell came to push, and push came to shove. Next thing I know everyone's fighting and all hell was breaking loose.

The fighting soon turned into rioting and London officials had to take back control of their once quiet and calm streets.

As many as 15 participants were arrested, and 2 spectators were seriously injured.
