Strange freak Raids Fruit caches

Detroit - A mutant refugee from the Chernobyl Nuclear devastation in Russia was captured yesterday after a brave victim took him out with a kick to the face. George Koler had heard that the mutant freak was in the area, but he never expected him to show up at the door. His brother, Jim, a well known karate expert, unleashed a brutal left hook flying kick, knocking the mutant out cold. Bananas were strewn near the body, obviously the prize the mutant had initially sought.

George Koler was surprised to learn that although the mutant is of average height, his strength is that of 4 grown men. " I was lucky that the kick did so much damage, otherwise the freak could have killed me....". he said.

Apparently, the mutant survived only on fruit, due to his fast metabolism, and would seek fruit out with no sense of fear. Last month, he raided Dat's fruit store and stole 46 bunches of bananas and 2 watermelons. However, the watermelons were found outside the store, and they were probably left there due to their heavy weight. A witness had reported that the mutant also liked to eat pastries, and was often seen raiding supermarket garbage containers. Say Art Whelan, of the Detroit Police dept - " I shot at him once, but he's crafty and dodged the bullets and made his escape. But the smell he leaves behind is very strong, probably because of the gas problem he has due to the high intake of bananas. I can smell him anywhere...". That very smell is what tipped the Koler brothers off that the mutant was at hand - " It smelled like a banana fart ! I knew it was him, but I panicked..plus the smell was so overwhelming. Thank God that my brother was there....".

Citizens are warned that more mutants may be lurking in the area. Beware of the following warning signs ;

1 - Bad Banana smell due to mutant fart
2 - Bananas missing from your kitchen
3 - High radioactivity in your home

If you detect any of these, please call your local police.
