Nashville, TN-The Down-Home Restaurant does not have a sign to indicate it's location but that doesn't stop local residents from telling visitors how to get there. The scent from a large dumpster overflowing with trash serves as a sensory landmark for the restaurant. "I tell people just turn into the shopping center and drive until the scent hits your nose. They have the best southern cooking around but the city sanitation department just seems to forget that they are there," says one local resident. The Down-Home's owner Lu-Ann Baker has been known to tell customers that the smell adds a little something extra to the restaurant's atmosphere.
