| Consumer Tip On What Not To Buy! |
News Brief | |||
This coffee maker works great, except for one thing - it doesn't like to make coffee. The water is never hot enough, and the true flavor of the coffee is in the grinds you toss out. And boy oh boy...2 1/2 cups...that's great when you're having company. When I tried using this machine in a rush, it didn't perform right from the start. It was too cold, full of crud, and the coffee tasted like mud. I used the old kettle and the results were much better tasting. Don't spend 50 bucks on this gizmo - buy a 15 dollar kettle and it'll do a better job.

Girl Hides Dead
dog in Closet Hilly Ridge - A 16 year old high school student in Idaho was so scared that she would be blamed for the death of her dog, that she hid it's corpse in her closet for 3 weeks. Apparently, the dog was struck by a car, and the girl felt she was responsible for the animal's death. She put the dead dog in her closet and convinced the family that the dog ran off, or was kidnapped. To hide the odor of the decaying animal, she sprayed Lysol or other air fresheners in the closet, hoping that the smell would be hidden from the rest of the family. One morning, when the girl had left for school, the mother was horrified to see "fido" stiff as a log in the back of the closet. Says the mother - " I knew my daughter was a clean freak, but I was suspicious that she was using 15 cans of air freshener a week. Something was wrong...". The dog has since been buried in the backyard, and the girl had been undergoing psychological help. |
