Consumer Tip On
What Not To Buy!
News Brief

Shampoo

I have only one thing to say about television...it is truly VERY influential. I must have seen a Head and Shoulders commercial 235 times, so I decided I wanted to get rid of my dandruff once and for all. I ran out and bought a bottle of this well known shampoo and went straight to the shower. Yes...I could feel it working, as the medicinal shampoo penetrated my scalp. baloney...Here I am 3 months later with the same darned dandruff problem I had when I was using my cheapie shampoo. Ever get this stuff in your eyes ? I'd rather jab pins in my eyeballs than go through that again. Trust me, once you try a cheap shampoo, you'll realize that it does exactly the same thing as this bottle of crap. Trust me, in 3 months you'll thank me.

Pet Termites Create havoc in Wooden House

Baltimore - A bug collector decided that he would keep a family of termites as pets, in a sort of living experiment, to see how they would adjust in captivity. Dr. Pike Norbert kept 300 termites in a glass enclosure, and fed them regularly, hoping that the results of his captivity experiment would be beneficial to science. Although he checked their enclosure frequently, Norbert did not notice that the population of the termites was decreasing so rapidly. One evening, while he was relaxing and watching a rerun of The Lucy Show, he heard what sounded like a million miniature chainsaws. Before he could get out of his chair, his wooden house collapsed and Parker found himself unhurt, but buried under a pile of dust which was once his home. Specialists from the University nearby examined the remains and found a vast network of termite tunnels and nests. The clincher for Baxter came when his insurance company refused to pay out a cent for the ruined home. Apparently, it is illegal in Baltimore to keep live termites on any property. Parker had this to say -" I can't understand them - why shouldn't be able to keep any pet I want ?" Parker says he intends to sue his insurance company for the damages.
