| Consumer Tip On What Not To Buy! |
News Brief | |||
On our second edition of cottage week, I am testing the popular outdoor Noma Lites. These easy-to-wire lights are really not that easy to wire, even for a genius like myself. You're supposed to connect them together in a string, and then bury the wire underground at least 6 inches. They worked fine before I buried them, and then I planted my garden around them. That night I watered the plants and when I turned on the power afterwards, half the county was without electricity. Jeez....they are not insulated as well as one would expect. Now, after all that work, I had to unbury the darned things, and rewire the entire string, which at this point was encrusted with dirt and mud. I have NEVER managed to get all eight of them to work at the same time. I give this fancy pile of garbage a 3 thumbs down.

Man Claims
Ghost Stole Company money Chicago - A security guard at a large office complex was in court yesterday, and plead not guilty to charges of theft. Wally Gumbert was arrested after an office employee watched a videotape of Gumbert's theft on a CCTV camera. Gumbert, a 20 year employee of the office complex, claimed before the judge that a ghost forced him to commit the crimes. He explained that a very dangerous and threatening demon entered his body and committed the crimes, and then released him and fled with the money. This had happened at least 12 other times, and the total amount of money taken from the offices was 92000 dollars. The judge denied bail in the case, although Gumbert vigorously denied partaking in the crimes willingly. " I never did that willingly...what did you expect me to do...shoot a ghost ?". When questioned about his extravagant spending habits, Gumbert replied that the Porsche he owned was from Money he had saved up. The judge didn't seem to buy that story, and remanded him to remain behind bars until the trail. Gumbert reported that he was furious with the judge and that he may seek the help of the ghost to get revenge on him. The judge told him that he could use his free time to contemplate which mental hospital he should go to after the trail. The Mudpile will follow this story closely. |
