| Consumer Tip On What Not To Buy! |
News Brief | |||
I hate ironing, but it's a fact of life, and even I have to do the dirty work sometimes. However, when this iron decided to go on the fritz just before the big party, I knew I had to list it on this page....I hate products which fail - I especially hate products which fail in emergencies. I have to mention that the settings on this iron must be fake, cause the temperature always seems to be the same. The water spritzer sucks, and it just drips when it feels like it. From the outset of this purchase, I had my suspicions - the power outlet needed jiggling to make the iron work, and the handle got too hot to handle comfortably. I recently bought a GE HD iron and it was a steal at 29 bucks, with a 3 year warranty. Get rid of this junk if you have it and get a REAL iron.

Dog Eaten by
Accident N.Y. -A small 2 year old collie was eaten by accident after someone ran it over, and dumped it's corpse in the back of a pickup truck. Kenny Merkins thought that luck was riding his way when he spotted the carcass in the back of his truck, and thought he had gotten a donation from an anonymous good caring Christian group which was famous for leaving such gifts to the needy. Merkins took his prize home, and asked his lady to broil it "till the juices of delight are ready to fondle my hungry tongue". He and his family sat down and had what they thought was a rabbit dinner, and they enjoyed it to the last morsel. However, the next morning, after seeing a reward poster for the missing dog, Merkins put 2 and 2 together. " Screw it...I won't tell the kids we ate a dog...Them's the breaks. Let let them think they had rabbit" says Merkins. The owner of the car which ran the dog over has not yet been found. |
