| Consumer Tip On What Not To Buy! |

After eating a bowl of this stuff, I asked the well-known question - " Where's the BEEF ???". I know companies have to cut down expenses, but at least this company should consider adding one single piece of beef...after all, it's supposed to be beef stew. Or at least rename the label to read NO-BEEF STEW. The actual taste was bland, with lumps of gravy like you would find in an army tent served by a scraggly old cook. It's not only the taste which staggers me, but the smell. The aroma sent me reeling into a dazed frenzy, and I almost called 9-1-1. My wife thought I had microwaved the family dog...I don't blame her. In our house, we don't stock this brand of stew anymore. In fact, I wrote the manager of our neighborhood grocery store, and told him I would boycott him unless he pulled this item off his shelves. When he told me I was overreacting, I cooked up a pot of this delicacy, and had him taste it. That's all it took - The product is OFF the shelves here. Call you local office of the FDA. Do your country a favor.....Get your grocer to pull this item.
"I think I like dogfood better. At least it smells a heck of alot more like stew..." Sammy Klein "I bet the guy who invented this never tasted it..." Johnny Butterford -Opinions are sent in

Man Chokes on Artificial Eye Memphis - A man identified as Kenneth Abrams, choked on his artificial eye, but was saved by his wife, a nurse in the general hospital. Abrams was eating a bowl of Cheerios when, unknown to him, his artificial eye dropped into his bowl. He ate his meal, and suddenly found himself unable to breath. He motioned frantically to his wife, who was shocked to see her husband's face, minus one eye ! She quickly realized what had happened, and used the Heimlich maneuver. The pressure popped the eye out of his throat and out an open window. The eye was found 3 days later, by Herman Jisibert, a construction worker - " I was looking for some tools in the back of my pickup truck when I spotted the glass eyeball. The darned thing was staring at me, so I called the cops...". Say Abrams - I should have realized that it had dropped into the bowl...jeez...I was blind in one eye !". He has since asked the eye bank to design a larger eyeball for him, so that it would be harder for it to slip out from his eye socket. |
