Boy..these cheap imitation Nike sneakers show no mercy to the average nose. I wore them only for softball, and although I bathe each day, they soak up and retain sweat like a sponge. The arch supports ar non-existant, and the laces are the flimsiest I have ever seen. Were it not for the cheapie discount price I got them for, I would never have bought them in the first place. Another crappy feature is the remarkably cheap sole these shoes have. The first time I wore them, they looked as if they had walked 200 miles. The tread design was completely gone.No amount of scrubbing could make these shoes look clean again either...I rubbed and scrubbed till the white tint began to come off. Pretty wierd considering they had virtually no mileage on them. Yo0u want cheapies ? Expect the worst....Stick to the name brands - they'll last a heck of alot longer...
"I could smell the sweat in the shoes even when they were in the closet...disgusting." Brent Wilkey "If you're an athlete, don't buy these sweatpits - they are a disaster !" Lui Alphonso -Opinions are sent in

Stoned Hummingbird Catches Fire ! Moscow - A small hummingbird, kept as a pet in a moscow bar, caught fire after drinking vodka and flapping it's wings into flames. Boris, a 3 year old American Hummingbird, was one of the rare such animals in Russia. Birds of this type flap their wings at such a high rate of speed , that 300 beats per minute have been recorded. In the case of Boris, the extra energy of a few shots of Vodka transformed him into a super bird, with wings beating at a feverish 720 beats per minute. The friction of feathers against feathers caused a flame to ignite, and soon Boris was a miniature fireball. His body didn't survive the intense heat, and he was buried in a cigar box at the back of the bar in a little garden. Last year, the same bar lost it's pet budgie, when alcohol caused it to continue singing the same melody hour after hour for two days. A patron of the bar became fed up and threw his cage into the river. The owner has said that he will no longer keep pets in the saloon. |
