Consumer Tip On
What Not To Buy!
News Brief

Hot-Rod Chair

You'd figure after a thousand years of making chairs, chairmakers would get better at their trade. The designer of this nifty article must have been asleep at the drawing board when he thought this heap of steel and foam up. Firstly, the seat is too lightly padded, and I could feel the rivets digging into my backend. How annoying...Secondly, the back does not rest properly no matter how you adjust it.You can't sit upright like the good Lord intended for you to do. Finally, and most important, the wheels are dangerous. I was sitting at my computer, when a slight movement set my chair in motion. I don't need to roll very far - if I want to roll, I'll buy a car. If you want an uncomfortable chair with a mind of its own, buy this one. On the other hand, if you want a comfortable chair made to keep you in good spirits through your long day at work, get something from a reputable office supplies store.

Consumer Feedback:

" I rolled out of my office right towards the front door. If it hadn't been for the secretary, I would have rolled into the busy street..."

John Benson
New York, NY

"The seat feels hard and the foam is always leaking from the cushion. I'd rather sit on the floor. At least the floor won't roll you away from your desk. "

Fatso Bottoms out pool in Belly Flop Fiasco
Rome, Italy - A 370 pound man dove off a 10 meter diving board and emptied an entire pool of its water. Ernesto Domingo was tired of being laughed at due to his weight problem, and decided it was time to show the people that he had swimming and diving skills of his own. The climb to the top of the platform took Domingo 1 full hour, and he frequently had to stop to regain his breath. Just before he dove off the board, he sang the Italian National Anthem, in a falsetto voice. Before anyone could get out of the pool, Domingo launched into a double somersault spiral dive and then bellyflopped into the pool. A wave of such ferocity was created, that members of the lifeguard crew were swept off their tower and into a restaurant across the street. Domingo lay still while mothers tried to move him to see if there were any children trapped beneath him. Fortunately, the vacuum created when he hit the water forced every living thing to be swept aside, and there were no serious injuries. As a result,A judge in Rome will put forward legislation prohibiting people of "outstanding weight" to dive off boards in public pools.
