CONSIDERATE
PART 20
(THE CONCLUSION)

Three days later Jason read in the newspaper that Lieutenant Governor
Wynn was dead. The lieutenant governor had collapsed, the item continued,
while driving his car home from the state capital the night the bridge
washed out. The death was attributed to heart disease.
After all, Wynn was not a young man. So Jason knew that, even though
his considerate hosts had voluntarily relinquished their vengeance, nature
had meted out justice. And, in a strange way, he felt glad that it was so.
Glad that John and Lillian had left to fate the punishment they had
planned to impose with their own ghostly hands. They were CONSIDERATE
hosts.

WOULD YOU HAVE GONE BACK?
